This Ruby Slipper Factory development was one of my most intense and in-depth company identity projects. We worked almost a whole semester on these projects and studied every aspect of an identity.
I first started by creating the logo, then I created the business cards and office materials such as a letterhead and envelope. We created multiple print and online advertisements, and well as the actual packaging for the Ruby Slippers – as seen in the photos. My packaging proposal was a simple shoebox and dust bag, however my final project is somewhat of a combination of the two ideas. I sewed the ruby shape with a grey cotton fabric and added the logo and tag for the style type and shoe size. Then I inserted pieces of cardboard for stability during shipping, which are then removable.
